Babe

Some words become repetitive as soon as I start saying them. I am sure this happens to many people. My friend Em just got back from South Africa, and the slang for amazing, crazy or cool over there is HECTIC. So everything is hectic, right? One week I was saying 'Bud' like 'Yeah bud, no problem bud' 'Right on Bud' etc.. Bud quickly turned to Babe and suddenly it's 'turn down the volume babe', 'pass the salt babe'. Translate this to little in the head conversations with whatever crosses my path, like, a car cuts me off at the stop-light and I say to myself 'Yeah, no prob, go ahead there bud.'
What just happened outside is crazy. Hectic. I just called an ant babe. Yes, an ant. I was parking my bike, and I nearly smushed it with my wheel. So i said "Oh, sorry Babe" just as it averted me. Wow. I called an ant babe. Talk about good karma.

Ha! I love it! I find that same thing happening with words around me. My word of choice at the moment is "BOSS" as in "REALLY GOOD!" But it is slowly starting to do my head in!

Where I am and across england everyone uses the word MATE repetively! I am glad I am not the only one that finds some words repetitive!

Come over to my blog, I have just rediscovered that I had one 6 months from my last post so would be good to have someone giving it a read after so long! :D

Someone said "BOSS" like that the other day. My head did a 360 degree rotation when I heard it and my family had to call in a priest.

Southern women use sugar, darlin, and sweet heart, even to insects. And then Bless their heart, after saying something not nice.
