Spring

Wow. Everything is so alive. Walking along the canal, on my way to pick up my 'official documents' so I can transfer to UBC, the trees sang to me the very reason I've made the decision to leave. Other then the fact that Ottawa is only livable all year wrong if you aspire to work for parliment (and not the funk band) or have a car and live in Wakefield. All year long? apparently all year WRONG!
This winter was INSANELY long and strenuous. The lilac trees in full bloom look like a strange miracle, though it's only nature. Nature 'ain't no miracle - it's natural! And it's the right kind of compliment to someone like me with an over abundance of energy. The feeling of anticipation and desire for change propels me. To have a garden and snowboard on the weekends and paddle into the ocean to surf moves me towards elation. A tear forms in my eye. Air expands within me and I remind myself to be here now. Appreciating the wonder of spring.
