Dreams really are prophetic. I got a phone call this morning from my pal Jaime, and she said "remember, about 9 or 10 years ago, you slept over, and I had a dream that we were in canoes, paddling through the streets, and when I woke up and told you.."
yes, I remember, you woke up, and we looked out the window and the streets were flooded! well, she said the same thing happened this morning, she was dreaming that her basement was flooding and ruining all these fancy clothes, and when she walked down into her kitchen after waking up, the kitchen had flooded. Isn't that wierd!?
No, I said, it's not wierd at all - in fact, it is very natural. When we are sleeping, our mind is relaxed and receptive, which allows our "guides", angels, or simply our higher self to get messages through to us. We always have assistance from the part of ourselves that knows, and is naturally clairvoyant. You could call it 'first instinct', gut feeling, spontaneous thought or simply INTUITION. The fact is that the truth is always right there, and all we need to do is occasionally tune in and listen. But if you dream you were in a St. Patricks day parade wearing a purple barney suit drinking green beer - remember that the message is sometimes abstract and about as clear as the sky - sometimes blue and bright, sometimes cloudy. The sun is always behind those clouds, and this is vision, this is truth.
